Each time a new Hyundai rolls into the showroom, it begs the question: Is there anything Hyundai can't do?

If you look at the current Hyundai lineup, it's hard to believe that the automaker once had - for many years - a reputation for producing cheap, low-quality vehicles.

In fact, one tour of a Hyundai showroom now will reveal some of the finest cars on the market today. While some manufacturers can boast about having stellar vehicles in one or two classes, there are none that offer the type of quality in just about every segment the way Hyundai does.

To truly appreciate Hyundai's ability to make first-class vehicles for every driver, consider this: Hyundai received the North American Car of the Year Award for the Elantra - an entry-level, compact car - in 2012, and for the Genesis - a luxury sedan - in 2009.

From top to bottom, Hyundai has been recognized for doing it better than anybody else.

"We have the leader in every class, and everyone else is trying to emulate Hyundai," said Raul Gomila, General Manager of Napleton Hyundai and Napleton's North Palm Hyundai. "Hyundai is setting the bar for the entire industry."

For 2011, Hyundai introduced the Equus, a premium luxury vehicle that was also very well received. The car is back for 2012, but now features a 5.0-liter, GDI V8 engine that produces 429 horsepower and is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC.

"Consumers buying cars in this class are used to a certain level of performance and power, and the Equus delivers that," said Gomila. "It still manages to lead its class in gas mileage as well."

The Equus successfully competes with the best sedans in the world, and its design is bold, handsome, and pleasing to the eye.

"This car is amazing inside and out," said Gomila. "When you sit in an Equus, you feel like you're in a private jet. It's like a whole new world."

Inside the cabin, the Equus is incredibly quiet, thanks to Hyundai engineers placing and emphasis on reducing road noise and investing in and utilizing soundproofing technology.

The leather upholstery, Microfiber suede headliner, natural wood trim and leather-wrapped French-stitched instrument panel showcase the richness of the Equus interior.

Other features worth noting include a dual entertainment system, massaging seats, and a rear cooler.

"Just as we've set the bar in other classes, the Equus will do the same here. For those with discerning taste that demand quality and luxury, the Equus has the outstanding looks and creature comforts of a $100,000 car, but for $30,000 to $40,000 less," said Gomila.

"This is the perfect car to take to the boardroom or to a night out on the town, and whether you're in a sport coat or a tuxedo, the Equus will turn heads all the way there."
